Getting a car to start is one of the basics, so certainly we all have ideas. Cold weather starting problems are all pretty much the same for everybody. To start, everything has to work, you know that. In cold weather, there are some extra thing that can go wrong compared with warm weather. One, the battery has less energy available. Two, the oil is thicker. Three, the fuel condenses in the intake manifold, so it needs to run really rich for a little while. When the coolant temperature measurement is inaccurate, it is the third problem that prevents starting. There are other problems, but you seem to imply you have a consistent, repeatable problem.
So you need to help us understand whether the starter works just fine but it won't run, or whether the starter is having trouble even rotating the engine.

You can google cold start problems but generally this indicates a fuel mixture problem. You'd need to have some diagnostics done but potential causes can include a problem with fuel pressure (ie a failed fuel pressure regulator can bleed off the residual pressure at the rail), weak fuel pump pressure, engine coolant temp sensor issue or issues with the MAF/throttle body or idle air valve (since they create the "choke" for cold starts.) You may also have old or wrong or incorrectly gapped plugs.
