I started getting a “book time for maintenance” message from my Volvo last week. I just had maintenance done about 1200 miles ago, including oil change. Is this just a timed thing that I can ignore, or did the onboard computer detect a problem with my car? This is a 2016 Volvo V 60 T5. Thanks.

 

Perhaps when your car was serviced 1200 miles ago - your service reminder was not reset. The "tech" has to manually push a button to reset the timer.
