They will basically charge for removing and installing turbo/manifold. Most likely about 3 hours labor.

It has happened to me, covered under warranty though. Happened after it sat for a measly 3 days.

Im having this same problem with my wifes 02 S60 AWD Turbo. Called my local volvo dealer to ask them what it would cost to do the job. They said 6 hours labor and parts. They told me they have never saw this problem.

I think im going to try the job myself. What should I have ready to do the job as for as parts go. Im worried about studs breaking off. Should I have a few available?

What are the torque specs on the turbo bolts, manifold bolts, etc. What all has to come off to get the job done so I dont remove more than i have to. Thanks in advance

I would get a few nuts and studs as spares.

Remove the turbo return line. Then you should be able to remove the extra bracket from the turbo to the motor and then all the nuts. That is for the manifold. Then you should be able to work it out far enough to change the gaskets.
