Default can anyone else hear this noise??

This is a strange question, but has anyone else heard a noise coming from the center of the dashboard (radio area) when the car is completely off? I discovered it accidently but was so fascinated by it that I went out and checked again several hours later - noise was still there.
Since the car is not running, what's up with this noise? Could it be draining the battery or is it somehow normal? Please advise - thanks!

If it's the noise I'm thinking about, I've heard my engine fan running at times with the car off. Unfortuately I don't know what causes that. I do know that under the hood there is a warning about the fan running with the car off and using caution to keep your hands clear, so it's got to be somewhat normal. I'd check the manual to see if it says anything about the fan running. Other than that, I'm not much help.

Is the sound maybe electrical? I get a faint electrical sounding (if that were a sound) buzz from my radio/nav area when the car is turned off. I did the same thing - came back to garage, checked it, still there, etc.

I then climbed in the car with the engine turned off and all of the doors closed. Sat there for a few minutes, took a cell phone call. Noticed that after a few minutes, the sound stopped. Then when I opened the door, it came back. Closed it again, repeated exercise, noise stopped after about a minute.

My guess is when the door is opened, somethinig electrical is getting ready for launch. My take is that if it were a fan, it wouldn't be on hours later when the car is totally cooled down.

Just my experience, hope this helps!
