Hi Guys and Gals,
My S60 goes into Reduced Performance Mode, with the rough idle, and rpm will not go above 2000.
The code seems to indicate the ETM, but are there any other likely possibilities?
If I plug in my code reader, then start the engine, then perform a scan and erase, it will run fine. Once it has sat for awhile, it will start up rough again, until I do the clear procedure.
I can get a new Throttle body from Ebay for $100, but who knows who makes it? IPD has a genuine Bosch for $349. I am leaning towards the IPD.
Any advice would be helpful.

FYI. Im pretty sure that a new etm will need to be programmed to work. Make sure to check that out because an ordinary garage will not be able to do that. goodluck.

 

That is true up until mid-year 2002. After that the ETM is not longer a module, and does not need to be programmed.
