OK So i have a 02 S60 AWD 2.4 Turbo automatic. geartronic.
Needs a new transmission ( actually i may try replaceing the valve body first?)
But id like to find a good cheap parts car.

So i read some say only 02 s60 awd , no other years work.
But some say on Ebay that 01 and 02 V70 awd EXCEPT Cross Country will work which I can believe, but What is the real difference in the cross country version ???

I have 3 s60s so id like to find a good parts car...

Any interchange help would be appreciated. Im a highly experienced mechanic just not with automatic transmission as much. More of a dsm wrx guy.

Also any chance i can swap in a fwd tranny?

 

I tried peeking at car-part.com and it only shows the 02 V70 as an interchange. Could it be that the XC is really listing as a trim level within the V70?

 

Everywhere I have searched says the v70 awd EXCEPT the cross country version as being interchangeable . Maybe the cross country has a different gear ratio . Can't see a whole different design being used .
