I have a broken sway bar link. Is this a fairly straight forward DIY repair? I am not that adventurous, but it 'looks' doable for my skill. Does it require a special tool? Is there a special trick to this?

Also, I know this car has history of awful turning radius. It seems that it is even worse now with a grinding sound...could the broken link effect it even further, or perhaps something different to look for? Thanks.
