can anybody give me some info on 2.4t vs t5 models with the specs.on each, new to the volvo cars looking to buy a 2000-2004 model of either one.not sure I want a awd or not.Thanks, Dewayne

 

I have had a 2.4t and now have a T5. The specs you can get from edmunds, but the driving feel of a T5 is WAY beyond a 2.4t don't even seem like the same car.

 

Is there a reason that you are not looking at a AWD? Just asking.If it were me hands down T5 over 2.4.I drove both before i bought my AWD 2.5T and the T5 is buy far a better feel fast and just all aroud better car.But will cost more $$ for sure.If you are looking from 2000-2004 i believe that 2003-04 there Is a 2.5t FWD.

 

awd will use more fuel than the fwd ?

 

until 2004, the AWD is known to go bad and can be costly to repair. T5=HPT, 2.4T=LPT, that simple. HPT if you want more top end, LPT if you want more low end.
