Default 2 wires going to the air filter box

Can anyone indicate what the 2 connections to the air filter box are for. I happen to be missing one that came detached I happened to notice.
Thanks!

As far I know there is nothing connected to the air box other than the three clips that hold the top cover. There is a connector for the M.A.F. sensor, which is in the tube just off the air box.

I know exactly which ones your talking about. They always come off when i change my air filter. Your talking about the two little hoses that attach just behind the air intake box? Im not sure what they are for but they are really annoying

Apparently they are for the vacuum system, or monitoring air flow. The guy I talked to didn't have a solid answer but he did say it shouldn't cause any problems if you can't reconnect them. Hope that helps

ok, I just cleaned my MAF but the idle still fluctuates a bit like when I am at stop lights. I thought maybe these wires played a part.

wires or hoses? is is possible for you to take a picture of what you're seeing as I have never seen anything like this on mine or others.

Those hoses are to adjust the air flowing thru the air box. When the temp is low, a door stays open to allow hot air from your exhaust heat until your engine warms up. When the temp rises, the door swings to shut the flow of hot air and allow colder air from the front vent by the radiator.
