Default 2001 s60 2.4t - easy intro mods

Hi all

New to the site. Just curious - i know with my tiburon (2003) after being on the newtiburon.com webiste i learned a bunch of really really easy and cheap mods that made a lot of aesthetic differences. Some easy ones were - replacing the tiburon decals, replacing the antenna with a short honda s2000 antenna, redding out the tail lights, clear cornerned headlights, minor interior mods..... etc

Just wondering if there is a simple list of basic mods (im not very tech savvy) that someone can lemme know about to get started????

Also im sure a bit more involved but a bit curious about maybe the sexy newer top roof antennea, led headlights and possibly a new horse power chip???

Appreciate any help!!!

THANKS!

I hate to break it to you but Volvo's like your aren't easy to mod like other cars. Also nothing comes "cheap" either.

The 1995-2000 Model 850's and 70 series cars are easyier to mod, but they aren't cheap mods by any means.

With 2001+ models it gets more expensive and less aftermarket parts exist and it becomes harder to do things with your car.

IPD USA makes a great ECU upgrade cost around $725 and you need to send them your ECU and or you can talk to them about the softloader installation which you do yourself. Which I think costs more.

RICA ( Sold by Viva Performance ) also has an ECU upgrade for your car which is also a great tune. Priced around $895 and it is a softloader install.

*Above are the two best tunes on the aftermarket for Volvo's...

Inmotion, SpeedTuning USA and Upsolute are considerably cheaper in price ranging from around $325-$425 abouts. However their tunes are less researched and developed and may cause you to run RICH, which isn't good. While they do work, they are not the best on the market. While I have an ST USA tune for my car it was done through a groupbuy and it was a mistake all the way. Customer service from Oliver is CRAP and the tune while it works well lets just say I wish I had saved my money and gone with a better tune from IPD or RICA.

THE TUNES (CHIPS) YOU SEE ON EBAY ARE FAKE, NOT REAL, BUPKISS. DO NOT BUY ONE THEY WILL NOT WORK.

As for cosmetic mods...

Viva Peroformance sells this taillight kit, http://www.vivaperformance.com/catal...roducts_id=383
They also have a CF trunk spoiler, CF Side Mirror Caps, CF Roof Spoiler, Crystal like sidemarkers,

IPD USA has some mesh grilles, Instrument Trim Rings,

EuroSportTuning (EST) has a front spoiler upgrade, mesh grilles

I wont give you many prices as I want you to look for yourself and see how outrageous the prices really are.
