Many, many thanks for all the great info in these threads. I recently purchased a 2007 s60 2.5t in silver metallic and love it. It is a replacement, actually, for a black 2005 s60, which I totaled three years ago (is it weird that I still miss that car, even now?)

I do love detailing this car, as it looks simply fabulous when it's sparkling. I have a question, however, about rough paint. When washing it this past weekend, I noticed a couple of rough paint areas: one directly under the passenger side mirror, and the other on the drivers side, back from the rear door.

Both are about the size of a half-dollar. I'm getting the windows tinted Friday, and they also do detailing, so I'll ask them, but I wanted to see if anyone has had similar experiences, or knows how to treat them.

The one behind the passenger door on the drivers side is the most pronounced, as there is actually some color fading.
