Default 2001 S60 Falling Apart

So apparently my 01 has decided to come unglued all at once. What I am looking to do right now is replace all of my struts, this due to theride being extremely poor and more importantly the squeaking from the passengerside front that is pretty embarrassing (not picking up any chicks with that). I need to get a few more years out of my carbefore she goes or becomes my 2nd car. I would like to lower the cara touch to accommodate the possibility of getting a set of 18’s down the road. Do you guys have any suggestions on a strutand spring combo that is a good economical choice? I am not looking for top ofthe line, and I’m not looking for a dog turd, somewhere in between with keepingcost in mind. Also, what other parts should I consider replacing when makingthis change, mounts/bushings etc… Any and all input is appreciated…

Check out the FCP Euro website fior a suspension kit. There are several levels depending on your wallet. I did this to my 2003 AWD at 175k and it made the car drive like new. I did strut column all but springs, A iframe bushings as several were checked badly and didnt want to go thru all the replacement only to need a wheel alignment a year later, inner and outer tie rods, and ball joints. Depending on miles since the last front hub replacement you may want to do them to.

You vshould have someone turn the wheel while you have the hood open and listen and feel the strut mounts. You may find that by replacing the mount(s) alone will solve your immediate noise issue. Again it depends on how many miles you have, how many $ you want to spend and what you are caple of doing. After all is done take it to a reliable shop for an alignment. You can try and measure everything but with some many new parts there will be changes to the alignment.
