Default 2002 S60 2.4T misfiring and temperature rising

My wife's 2002 S60T 2.4T started rising in temperature the other day. A few months ago I had a cylinder 5 misfire code. I changed all the spark plugs and a 2 coil packs. After a few weeks it began to idle rough when she started it and a rich smell of gasoline would occur. Earlier this week the ac would blow no cold or hot air while the cold or heat was on. The temp began to rise. she pulled over immediately. AAA towed the vehicle home. my father ran the codes. it had 300 (major misfire) 303 (#3 cyl misfire) 305 (#5 cyl misfire). There was no water in the res. We think the head gasket might be out, but i have not seen any water leaking anywhere. Also no water is in the engine oil. Any ideas of what the problem might be.
