2002 S60 D5 Auto - Starter motor issue
Dear fella owners, my dad recenlty bought himself a 2003 S60 D5 as a run about. He had an issue with starter motor, replaced last week and car wouldn't start. Upon removal the cog on the starter motor is serveraly worn and look to be sign of teeth missing teeth on the flywheel or flex plate. my mechanic said the car needed clutch and flywheel and I'm a little confused and I thought the car has a torque convertor? would anyone be able to help me out as I can see used replacement flex plates on ebay for cheap. but not sure if it's a flywheel and clutch or just a flex plate? many thanks
