I've got the dreaded minor leak in the evap system, and of course I need an inspection soon. Replaced the gas cap and the code still comes back in a few days. From what I read the next most likely cause is the evap hose to the canister which I'm told is very tough to get to. Any guidance here? I'm probably just going to order a new evap hose, but will check the rest of the system first. What I'd really like to know if anybody has had experience with this hose going bad on this model year and general guidelines on getting to it. Can I really get to it without dropping the rear suspension?

While I normally try to do as much on this car myself, I caved in and took it to a local Volvo/Saab guy. Turned out to be the J hose as anticipated. I was going to try that next but after seeing how difficult it is to get to on the S60 I chickened out.

CPL Automotive in Mt Sinai NY took care of it for me.
