2002 S60 Trunk Lid will not close

Default 2002 S60 Trunk Lid will not close
2002 S60AWD trunk lid will not close. Can this be easily fixed?

I had the exact same issue after my two daughters played in the trunk, one pulling the emergency release handle.

Check that it is not stuck pulled by the elastic. All I had to do was push mine into place.

Checked the manual release inside the trunk...nothing. It seems dead, like there is no electricity going to it. Any way, thanks for the suggestion.
