Default 2004 S60 2.5t stall? etm?

I have a 2004 s60 2.5t awd automatic transmission. 170k miles
I just got from a family friend. For super cheap ran good for about 5 days and boom! Driving down the street using the manual mode and it stalled.... I got to the place where I was going was there for a few hours went home and it was fine... But now I try to start it.
It turns over idles for a few seconds and dies. I can hit the throttle and keep it going at 4k+ rpm soon as I let off it drops and dies....

I know these car have a bad problem with the etm/throttle body.. does that sound like the problem? I know it will mess with the idle and make it idle bad. But will it completely die out of no where? Just yesterday it was fine idling at 900rpms

Check the intake system for a pipe or tube that has come out of place.

I tried I took apart the system from the place where the intake filter thing is.( Sorry new to working on cars I just shipp turbos) the pipe that goes from there to above the radiator. Then the few hoses that had a 3 way T pipe(this ends up in the manifold. The pipe that goes over the manifold and engine. But I did not take the pipe that sits in between the radiator and the engine( more to the passenger side and much shorter

I hope it could be it. I took every thing apart to see if I could get to the throttle body just with tools at my house. I work at a shop but we don't really do petromechamics. More performance mainly I just ship turbos. And once in awhile help with a install of turbos or help with working on a diesel.

My car was throwing a throttle body code. Along with 11 other codes I didn't even see what they were. But there was no signs of a bad throttle body. Like bad idliling. Or anything just book it was done. I'll go back in tomorrow and take part the whole intake system.

That does sound like worn contacts in the ETM but it's tough to say definitively from a keyboard. Xemodex can rebuild it and also have some troubleshooting docs on their page to help with the diagnosis.

For a 2004 you can buy a Bosch ETM for around $325. Amazon even has them. 2002 and up do not need software update when changed.
