The exterior design, the S60 is much like the S80, only with more compact proportions and a radical roofline. It is easily the most attractive Volvo sedan, however, both elegant and sporty. It is the main aesthetic weakness of my eyes is a touch of the bodysides slabbishness intentionally put there to establish a link with the past. Given the obvious value of maintaining the image of Volvo safety and durability, this award seems like a good compromise. In short, a masterful design update while not a beauty.
