Default 2004 volvo s60 new fuel pump car wont start cant locate fuel pump relay pump no power

Just put in a new fuel pump for a 2004 volvo s60.
pump isnt getting power it seems and using this forrum i seen it might be the fuel pump relay but can't find it can anyone explain the location to me?

The 2004 from what I know doesn't have a traditional relay. Instead, the computer sends an impulse to the fuel pump to keep the pressure at a pre-determined level. If you look, there is only one line to the fuel pump not a feed line and return.

You need to put a scan tool on your car. Something is keeping the fuel pump from powering up.

That is incorrect. The relay is located on the CEM, under the dash on the drivers side. It is in slot CMI12.

It has both a fuel pump power relay and fuel pump control module. the module is located just above the fuel filter on the right rear in front of the wheel. Good luck.
