Hi all. I have a 2006 S60 with 60,000 miles. I brought my vehicle to be serviced by Volvo and the shop manager informed me that I need new brake pads and the rotors are fine. I decided to change the brakes myself but I noticed a lip on top of all four of the rotors. Is this lip normal? This is the first time changing brakes on a Volvo and I never seen this lip on any of the vehicles that I have changed brakes on.

mine had the same..theyre probably original rotors and just have worn down some where the brake pad touches.. I had to squeeze the piston on the caliper a bit with a large set of pliers before I could get the caliper off because of this 'lip'.
