Exclamation 2007 S60 2.5t Soft brake pedal

Hello Everyone,
I have a recently purchased 2007 S60 2.5t with just over 106k miles, bought it at 104k. I had a swedish shop put new rotors and ceramic pads on it in march right after I bought, because the pedal was soft and the rotors were rough from appearance and feel. Still had spongy brake pedal. Bled the lines no difference. I then had the fluid flushed and filled to make sure I didn't miss any air, still no difference. Just last week, I went back to the swedish shop and had them put all new ATE brake hoses and ate master cylinder, still no better pedal. The brakes do work and i have even checked them by doing about 60 mph and slamming on the brakes and it stops fairly and abs was activated. So, my swedish shop guy says I'll never get a firm pedal in a volvo, I do trust him but i am not buying that. I did check the spring on the calipers also, to ensure they are properly installed. I'm selling my 2014 honda accord with oreilly's best ceramic pad and they bite 100x better than the Volvo. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

There is a certain amount of "play" in each vehicle's brake system. If you are able to lock up the brakes to the point that the ABS starts pulsing, then you have already put enough force to stop the vehicle.

You probably had a different pedal feel than other cars so replaced everything in the solar system only to be right back where you are. The only other thing that you could replace is the booster.
