Default 2012 S60 harsh downshifts

2012 S60 T5

So I have done some testing on this. It appears that the car downshifts really rough in the morning after the car has sat overnight and still shifts rather harsh when sitting for awhile in general. My T5 S60 currently has 5600 miles on it. When it went in a couple of weeks ago, the dealer stated there were no fault codes or updates to the software. After driving the car for 20 minutes or so, the harshness seems to just disappear. Happens when slowing between 20-40 MPH, which is probably from gears 5-4 or 4-3. When the hard downshifts go away, the car is silky smooth. To give you an idea of the force of the harsh downshifts, I tend to notice my neck and head being jerked forward.

Can anyone confirm this? Any "over the counter" remedies out there? Has it gone away after an oil change, tranny flush, etc. Help! It's driving me crazy considering most of my trips are the 15-20 minute variety.

Did some more driving this morning. Again, the shifting up and most noticeably down was harsh for a good 15-20 minutes. Then everything became as smooth as butter. Leads me to believe it's the transmission fluid that is warming up.

Any thoughts on this? Has this gone away for those who have noticed it?
