Default 2012 S60 T5 - "High Enging Temp See Manual" warning message

Hello,

I have a 2012 S60 T5. I received the following warning message after the car was idling in Park for about 30min: "High Enging Temp See Manual" and "High Engine temp Reduce Speed" as seen in the pics i uploaded. I cannot find anything in the manual for the message and i've called 3 local Volvo Dealerships with no help. They all want me to do a $250 to $300 diagnostic test and say the issue could be a simple

This message comes up after idling in Park for about 30min

$50 issue to something more expensive. Has anyone else had this issue? It is the 1st time i've seen it.

I found out it was my fan. Check your fan. I had gotten one for cheap from a junk yard and replaced it.

Its normally the sensor , you can check the fan by connecting 12v directly to it , disconnect battery and run a 12v to the fan direct if it fails then its the fan
