Default 2012 S70 t5 ongoing low beam headlight replacements

Driver side going out every 5-6 months. No issues with passenger side, using same bulb. Any ideas what the problem could be? Tia.

do you have halogen or Xenon HIDs? If you have HIDs, it could be a problem with the ballast. If you use halogons then I'd look at the connector, ground points and even measure the alternator output to make sure you don't have a voltage regulator issue that causes periodic spikes. Something may show up on an OBD2 code scan for this. Also when you insert the new bulbs, try not to touch the glass - your hands can leave an oil residue on the bulb
