2014 V60 D6 PHEV Still Not Charging - At Wits' End!
Hi guys.
My car stopped charging a few months back, and I'm looking for some help as to what the issue could be.
So I plug the car in (charger doesn't matter, same thing happens), the socket locks, the charger clicks as if about to charge, but then the led on the car turns red.
I've brought the car to the main dealer, but I don't think they're great.
They suggested to replace the onboard charger (OBC) on the car, which I did for the princely sum of 1,800!
Car still acts the same.
They're now suggesting replacing the "communication gateway" for 390, or get the car in for diagnostics from Volvo Technical and try diagnose the problem.
I have no problem replacing the gateway if it'll cure the issue, but they're not sure if it will or not.
At 150+ per hour for diagnostics, I'm loathe to give them a carte blanche to try fault find only to discover it's the gateway and have to spend the 390 on top!
So does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what it may be? If the OBC and gateway are new items, what else could possibly be wrong? I'm assuming when they replaced the OBC that he's checked the wiring and there's no problems with that.
All help gratefully appreciated.

Well they swapped out the gateway, no joy.
So they spent a few days diagnosing with Volvo technical, and they've decided that the HV battery needs replacing!
I'm not sure it does, as it still charges normally when I turn on battery save mode when driving.
But that's where I am.
