I just picked up a V60 T6 R-design. The car is fantastic and the I6 is impressive, to say the least. My question is about the doors on the car. First, I notice that when I pull the door handles, the doors do not "pop" open, like every other car I've ever driven. Instead, they sorta just pull open like a cabinet door without the satisfying feeling of unlatching. This may be perfectly normal; I just find it odd and wanted to ask if you guys are experiencing the same. It's like you can't tell they are car doors since you cannot feel the pop open. Even from the inside, if you pull the door handle without simultaneously pushing on the door with your elbow, the door will remain shut.


Secondly, there is a creak from the driver's door. I'm pretty sure it's from the black plastic strip at the leading edge of the rear door (which touches the driver's door). Has anyone experienced the same and solved the problem? Would be a shame to bring a brand new car back to Volvo for these items.

I can't say I've experienced the same thing. I just checked and there is a distinct click when the door unlatches.
