I got some nasty scratches on my passenger car door, looks like a purse scratched up against it. Instead of getting repainting done, I've decided to get some vinyl decals put on. It's difficult to find images of Volvos with striping, so I thought I'd put this out to the forum to get ideas. So far, my favourite is the red and black stripe with the Volvo R on the back. (I don't want the R on it, as my car isn't an R, do you think I should keep the Volvo on it?)
Yeah, I like the top one best (minus the R), but any of them look OK. I never would have thought of striping it but that does a nice job of accentuating the lines.
Consider a yellow or goldenrod color pinstripe between the black and the red? And use the same color for the outline VOLVO logotype.
Thanks. That's the one that went with and we made a few more adjustments. Here is the latest spec. The gold that you see between the red and black was actually a colour conversion issue from the software into a RGB colour file type.
If you can zoom in, you may see some grunge in the red areas. This will give the stripe a textured look and appear less of a plastic sticker.
I'm so impressed with the company I went with.
