Default ABS issues

Good afternoon to all. First time visiting site. I have a 2015 S60 Premier AWD. I am getting a ABS/ESC fai!ure notice. Went to a local tire service and they replaced the sensor but that didn't work. They are saying I need a new wheel bearing and want to charge me $625 . they charged me $98 for the sensor which I thought was fair but I am afraid that they may not know the actual problem. Also I am also getting a "city safety service required" notice and most importantly on occasion when I start the car and begin to leave the car has no power and will not accelerate so I stop and turn off the car and start it again and it is fine. I am hoping someone can help me because I cannot afford to bring it to Volvo deal or for repair. Look forward to hearing from you. Thank u.!!!!

First step is to get a proper scan of the existing fault code(s) then clear them and see if it resets. If you are near a big box auto parts store, they may loan you a fully featured OBD2 scanner capable of reading ABS and chassis codes or pay the dealer or volvo friendly shop for the diagnostics scan. Its also possible that the non-dealer shop installed the wrong sensor type which would allow the code to reset. As to the wheel bearing going - the two may be related. Its possible some grease from the CV boot or bearing got on the back of the hub which will keep the sensor from reading correctly.
