Default ABS light

I own a 2006 Volvo S60 and currently my rear brakes are not getting fluid. I have narrowed it down to either the master cylinder or ABS Module. When I stop hard and my tires skid I notice the ABS light does not come on. I have no ABS light on and have never seen it. When you stop and the tires skid is the ABS light suppose to come on?
Or does the light only come on when there is an issue with the ABS system?

my bet is you have a stuck valve in the ABS valve body.

no. the ABS has 3 components - the controller (which is the computer board with solenoids), the valve body (the block that the brake lines feed into) and the ABS pump. When I had this happen on my S40, I got a used replacement valve body/controller for $65 and just kept my controller. (there's like 4 bolts holding the two together...

Well I was thinking it was the valve body too but its a 4 channel system and both of my rear brakes aren't working... I thought it would be weird it both channels to the rear brakes were to get stuck... That's why I thought it might be the master cylinder since it has a 2 channel system. One to the front and one to the rear. Did you have both rear brakes stop getting fluid too on your s40?
