AC Problems. Right smack in the middle of summer.
Okay, I have a 2002 s60, 2.4 turbo, for about 6 months now. Got it in the middle of winter. Since the temperature has increased I have started using my AC more but have a problem with it. It doesn't blow very cold air and has very low pressure when blowing. I took it to a mechanic and found out that the freon was low, about a 1/2 pound low. So I had him refill it plus put in a dye to see if it was leaking or not. Well, I got in and it was blowing colder but still not much pressure. It sounds as if it is blowing hard but when you put your hands up to the vents it's bairly coming out. Also, the cabin air filter was pretty clogged so I am putting a new one in on Tuesday. So, right now I run it without the filter and still not much pressure. Even with both sides turned down the coldest and the AC turned up the highest. What might be causing this? It has about 92,000 miles. Thanks in advance.

RE: AC Problems. Right smack in the middle of summer.
Sorry for the late response. But today I did test it to see if it blew better in heat then in AC. And it did. Then Autozone called me to tell me my cabin air filter was in. So I picked it up and installed and and presto, problem fixed. Once I put it in it blows cold and also with much more force. Thanks for all the help. Doesn't appear to be any problem anymore.
