Default Advice

I currently own an 02 volvo s60. I have been dealing with some issues relating to my vehicle so I have to drive it sparingly til I get all repairs done. In the mean time I have to purchase a work vehicle. I do a lot of driving for my job and I need some advice on a gas saver..97-02 VW Golf or Honda Civic. Which would you choose and why? Please don't throw the book at me..I know this is a Volvo forum..Just dont want to get scammed...AGAIN!

If you want a reliable easy/cheap to fix and maintain daily driver car - I suggest a corolla. My daughters' '00 MY has 295+k miles and still running great. No need to replace timing belt, 30+ mpg.

I would go with Honda, less electrical problems than the VW. I looked into Jetta's and everyone I knew that had one said to stay away if its out of warranty.
