Air Condition Warm on Right Cool on Left
I live in Southwest Florida, and it is really really hot now. The Right two Air Conditioning Ducts (Passenger Side)blow hot air and the left two ducts (Drivers Side) blow cold air. How is that possible? Can this be solved by recharging with some Freon? I don't have the IAQS Air system, and my S60 is a 2002 2.4 NA. Please help! You have no idea how hot it is down here. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
First try turning the control to hot on that side wait a second then switch back to cold and see if it changes it.
If not then you might be low on freon. (don't ask why or how it does it)

I don't know how you do it Tech. When I switched the control to hot I heard a distinctive "click". I waited a second and then switched it back to cold. After that you could've hanged meat in that volvo. Thanks so much.
It could be a leak in your evaporator. That was the problem with my 02 S60. Not a cheap repair as they have to remove the dash to replace the evaporator.
I have had the same problem, off and on, and have tried the fixes suggested. I find it strange that we all have the same problem - cold on left, hot on right. Hmmmm. (Just had the system flushed and topped off, and it still happens.)[&:]
