Just bought 2002 Volvo s60 Fwd non-turbo I5 2.4L, while driving the air conditioning button will indicate AC is off. It will unexpectedly turn on and I will have to push button to turn off. It happens pretty frequently, at least 6-8 times on a 35 mile commute. Also, I'm in California and the weather varies between 60-75deg so it really isn't that hot at all. Thought maybe it was automatically turning on because it was sensing I could use some AC.

Any idea how I can fix this?

 

My car also does this. I would also like to know what's going on with it.
