Default Alarm needs service message

Hi, can anyone help me, I have just bought a 2003 Volvo S60 D5 and in preperation to sell my old one I have had £400 of work carried out on it Tyres and stuff, now an alarm message has come on to say the alarm needs a service, I really don't want to go back to a dealer if I can help it, its done 167k miles and I have to stop spending on it, can I turn it off or fix it myself, if anyone can help with this, my first post I would be greatful

Thanks

You need a new alarm siren to make the message go away.

Smile Thanks very much

I read the link you sent, and I don't think I would be able to fix it myself, I will let the dealer do it, I've been quoted £200 plus VAT so i guess I will have to pay it out. The new owner, when I sell it will be getting such a good car!!!!

Thanks for your reply
