Default Alarm question...

Our 2004 S60 did not come with a owners manual. Im trying to figure out if it has a alarm of any kind. I think I read somewhere it does standard, but I cant make anything happen with the "remote key". Any insight?

We did order a manual//

Leave the drivers window open and Lock the car. Wait about 1 to 2 minutes then reach in and pull the hood release and see if the alarm goes off.
If you don't hear anything then look for lights flashing.

Does the remote unlock the doors?
If it does hitting unlock should turn it off. Also the key unlocking should turn it off. Sometimes you have to lock and unlock it for it to turn off.

One is the Panic button and the other is for the Mirror lights. Red should be Panic you have to hold it down till the Alarm goes off. The Yellow should turn the Mirror (Puddle) lights on.
Try that button at Night and see if any lights come on.
