angle gear box leaking
Hi
My name is Emil and I recently bought a 2004 Volvo S60 AWD. Before buying it I paid for a 130 point check at a local Volvo service. They found a leaking from the angle gear box (front). One of the mechanics opinion was that is a major problem while the other one described it as a “minor common problem”. I dismounted the plastic lower shield and studied the leaking more closely. It leaks over night a few drops of the size of a coin. I heard that this is very typical for this model and there could be a less costly repair method.
I wonder if someone could help me out on the following questions
1. How bad can it get if it’s not repaired?
2. What can you advise me to do in order to fix the problem?
3. Is it recommended to change the angle gear oil anyway?
4. Transmission feels lazier after it warms up. Is this normal?
Thank you in advance for taking you time to listen and answer to me.

I have never seen an angle gear not leak.
Have the fluid checked every other oil change.
Have the car checked for software upgrades for the tranny being lazy.

Having the same exact problem, looks like it is very common.
