I am thinking of purchasing a V60 Cross Country as an alternative to a Subaru Outback. Any thoughts? Robust enough? How is the AWD? Anyone gone off pavement, really put it through the paces? Any information, thoughts or opinions would be welcome. Thank you.

 

I just yesterday watched a video by Consumer Reports that wasn't too enthusiastic about the V60 Cross Country. I tried to find it so I could link it but didn't have any luck.

I know CR didn't test it in snow but if you Google 2015 Volvo V60 Cross Country, there are a number of reviews and maybe one of them will mention snow. We don't have the Cross Country version but our V60 with the electronic limited slip differential did very well this winter in snow with the exception of when the snow was deeper than the ground clearance. The Cross Country with its higher clearance would do even better.
