Default Battery Suggestion

I would like some opinions as to a replacement battery for my 2002 Volvo S 60. I am aware that the electrical system is finicky and was wondering what the best options as far as barands and types ( maintainence free etc) would be best.

Also is it better to have someone install this or do the installation myself? Any things to watch out for?

We use interstate batterys. It would be a MT-47 battery. You can install it your self.

One more thing what types of tools would I need. I have worked on cars in the past but have not so much as looked at my battery in my S 60. I live in New York and do not keep too many tools handy. Would an adjustable wrench do?

You will have to check around some. You will need a 13mm socket and a 10mm wrench. An adjustable wrench might work but never tried.

I use the Optima Yellow Top Battery, it's a very good Gel battery, a little expensive, but it worth it. You'll have to change battery terminals in order to fit, that's not expensive.
