Hi I'm new to forum.

I have 2002 volvo s 60 awd 52000 milage, went for oil change and after 2 hours I left oill change my car died, went to diler putnam for inspection they told me that battery is dad I bought and replaced it my self, but message of "low batery voltage" keeps poping up. when I was trying to jump the car after it died 2 days ago I could jup it but after I took cables of it was runing for a minute and than died agun. I thought alternator or something but at dilers inspection they sad that it looks fine. I just don't now what that could be? any sugestions.

I think it sounds awful like a dead battery...I think you should probably believe the guys at the inspection shop, and probably just get a new one. Batteries do die now and again, a lot of times they die before their life expectancy has been reached.

You may have accidentaly drained the battery some how. But the way your car is behaving does sound a lot like a dead battery.

 

If the car dies when the cables are disconnected the alt isn't charging.

thanks gys I took it back to the diller and told them to rechec and ges what this time i twas not battery, I dont know what to thing about that delar but guy that hendeled the case was very pro so I give tham that, but service ????

It wasnt the alternator, it was the voltage regulator, the dealer just screwed you if they made you pay for it..

 

When did the recall on the brushpacks start?

The Dealer is the only one that sells the brushpacks thats why I stated above that the Alt. was bad.

He seemed like he was going to fix the car himself like the battery.

ill get you the TNN.. of bulliten #32-02, since this TNN came out, i have not had to replace 1 alternator, you can also get the pully by itself, the pullys lock up and cause noises alot of ppl mistake for the p/s pump..

 

I know about the pulleys.

A tech net note is not a recall. If it is a TNN then the customer still has to pay for it.
You said above if he had to pay he got screwed.
You have to buy them unless it is a recall. And I haven't heard of it yet.

 

i know what a tnn is and isnt, what i meant got misstated. it sounds like the dealer found out that it was a bad alternator and put one on it from his previous post. if they put a new alternator on it, then they screwed him.. because the alternator wasnt faulty
