Default Bought the Car, Now The Issues

All,
Bought the S60, 2001, turbo. It was just in a little better shape, appeared to be at least. So now we have noticed a couple of things. Any feedback, hints, or general help will be appreciated.

1. Service Light comes on randomly. Toyota house where we bought it changed the oil and I am guessing they don't know how to reset it after the service. However, could it be anything else?

2. When you crank it all the way to one direction there isgrinding kind of thing as you do say a U-turn. It feels, to me, like a vehicle with "lockers". ( I am a muscle car and truck guy). I would asume some type of limited slip but since it is front wheel drive (another first for me) I am not sure. It has a little surge to it. You only notice when it is turned all the way to one direction.

3. When come come to a stop it feels like it wants to surge or push through the brake. Not a big push really and but kind ofa surging. It is minor but is this a sign that the torque converter (if these things have them) is going bad or just a car that wants to get out a run?

Those are what we have noticed so far. These things are annoying to us but maybe not"bad" or indicative of a larger problem. I would appreciate any help. We have a 3 daygrace period to make sure that this thing is right. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
JP

From what I have learned on my 850, the service light comes on ever 10k. Usually U have to go to the dealer to get that re-set or some high end scanners can do it, but for the most part you have to go to Volvo and have it done. If you can live with the light on, then usually it turns off after a while. In my 850 it turned off after a minute. For me, it drove me nuts just to see it and TECH hook me up!

1. The instructions are on the site to reset the Sercive light.

2. Does it have 17 inch tires?

3. See if the neutral control has been disabled on the car.

Check the tire size for the noise in a turn. I upsized slightly (from 205s to 215s) and they rub if I crank the wheel all the way. Stock is 205/60 I believe. There's a sticker in the gas door (I think) that tells you the proper size for your model.
