Default Brakes are clicking!!!

Hey guys,

hope everyone is healthy!

I have a 2007 S60R with 220k miles. We meticulously maintain the car and i use it every day. Love it.

Anyway, I recently started hearing a very annoying clicking noise when I brake at low speeds (25mph to 0mph full stop). It only happens when i apply the break.
The clicking noise sounds like it’s directly related to the speed of wheel rotation. It’s faster at higher speeds and slows as the car slows. It’s very noticeable and concerning. Sometimes a warning light comes on saying break assist service required, but this is inconsistent and tends to randomly go on.

Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t, but once it starts, it doesn’t stop unless i don’t drive the car for a day... (inconsistency is the theme for my car... a problem occurs, then goes away, then comes back).

i uploaded a video of the noise... not sure if it posted...

anyone have any ideas???
