Break and Tran prob w/s60
I have a couple of small problems with my 03 s60. First when I take my foot off of the break it sounds like it is still on the pad and makes a squeek/grind noise for the first couple of seconds after I accelerate. I have gone through a set of breaks in 10,000 miles. I think it is not releasing correctly...any thoughts?
Also, occassionally when I am accellerating at low speed the rpm's will go up and the car will not go for a second and then the tran would catch and be fine. It only happens once or twice a week.
Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Break and Tran prob w/s60
It sounds like a brake caliper is not releasing. Going through a set of brake pads in 10K is not normal. Need to take it to a mechanic and have them look at it. It probably needs an adjustment. Check to make sure that it hasn't warped the rotor also.
There is a software upgrade for the transmission that will most likely take care of the shifting problem. Take it to the dealer and have them do the upgrade.
