Buying a used S60
Hi!
I am looking to buy a used Volvo S60 T5 model with around 40,000 miles on it. For a 2012 model the pricing is 15 grand which seem quite low. The car is equipped with climate and luxury packages. However, the car has been on the market for a good 2 or 3 years! What could prevent someone from purchasing a car like this? Records say nothing negative has happened to it. But was it a bad year for the car?
Thanks.

Some of the 2012 S60 T5s had problem with burning oil...SOME not all. Volvo did come up with a fix. With some customers, Volvo replaced the entire engine.
Hard to say why this T5 would stay on the market as long as it has, but a few things come to mind...
Could be that it's out of the factory warranty...
It may not be a CPO vehicle, which means the is NO warranty coverage at all.
As to the price seeming low, Volvos don't generally have a high resale value.
