Car won't start and buzzing sound from CEM
I dropped my daughter off at college yesterday. She is coming back tomorrow for her car (2002 S60), so I thought I would vacuum and clean the inside. Well, that was a mistake. I was nearly done and noticed a buzzing/ticking sound from the CEM. I tried starting the car, but nothing comes on. I unhooked the battery and tried it again and the buzzing/ticking starts right away. I did some research and I thought it may be the hazards being stuck on, so I wiggled and pressed the button with no luck. I tried feeling the relays in hopes I could tell which one was buzzing, but it did not feel like any of them are buzzing. I also seems like it is coming from inside the CEM (see video). If I put the key in the ignition to position 1 or 2, the buzzing stops, but comes back after a few with a different sounding buzz. I also noticed absolutely nothing comes on and the FOB does not work. Any idea's? Thanks, Dusty
If the battery is charged and connected cleanly, the next step would be a scan with a compatible scanner to see if there are any codes that would point you down a reasonable diagnostic path.

I changed the FOB battery. I then did not notice the clicking. I tried to start and noticed the dash lights did come on for a little. I jumped it and it started, but now I have a low beam failure. The brights still work, but not the low beams. I guess I will start t/s that now.
I charged it overnight. I then checked the battery and it was 14.3 while running. Very strange how it died while just cleaning it. I had moved it to a different spot in the driveway before cleaning it and it started with no issues. I then checked the low beam bulbs and it had both bulbs go bad at the same time. Those bulbs are under a year old too. Running good now, thanks for the help.
