I have a 2004 Volvo S60 with a P420 error code. I live in NC but found out that I have a California model (EPA Tier 2 Bin 5) which requires a MUCH more expensive catalytic converter. The volvo deal wants to charge me 2100 dollars and Mitas wants around 1750 dollars. Since I don't live in California, is their any aftermarket or alternative fixes that will both clear the "check engine" light and bolt up directly? It's tough to put more money into you car then what it's actually worth. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.
