Got my 2004 just a few months ago, now has 34,000. Just today it started running very sluggishly, not accelerating correctly and not switching gears smoothly. We had a big rain storm last night so I was chalking it up to that. But now later in the day it has gotten worse, check engine light has come on and it is stalling when idling at stop signs etc. I didn't think I would make it home. Anyone have any ideas? Please help before I have to take it to dealer.

 

Pull the codes first that will lead you to the problem.

 

Also check the banjo fitting for the pcv system under the intake manifold. I've seen cases in which the small hard plastic hose clogged solid and causing car to stall. Take hollow screw from banjo fitting out and clean it.. don't be lazy... since it pays to take it all the way out believe me...
