Default sqeaking/chirping heater blower motor 2005 XC90

I'm fairly certain a bearing in my heater blower motor is about to go out. Can any one direct me as to where I might find the motor and how difficult this is for a do-it-youselfer?

Thanks in advance

I've had a light chirp happen on two occasions with my '05. Each time I replaced the cabin filter and cleaned/blew out the housing with compressed air which stopped the noise. Not sure why...drop in air pressure? If you do have to replace the blower, it's rather extensive. I checked with my favorite Volvo shop last year and they needed approximately 9 hours - dash removal and all the typical pain and suffering that accompanies that process if you haven't done it before (e.g. - A pillar panels, brace, airbag modules, instrument panel, steering wheel, etc...). Try inspecting that filter first. Also, if you do replace the blower motor, don't forget to diagnose "why" it went out...usually a result of foreign moisture from failed condensor, heater core, etc...this could save you substantial labor charges. Sorry for your trouble and good luck.
