I had struts and mounts replaced on a 2016 S60 T5 Inscription.. a month later I have an unidentified noise - it sounds like creaking - for lack of a better word. It happens when the car is driven for at least 20 minutes and everything is warmed up, and more noticeable when I’m turning the steering wheel to the left. I popped the hood earlier today and pushed down on the front end and there was a very definite spring, bushing, or creaking noise coming from the strut mount, drivers side. Is it possible the spring isn’t mounted properly? Anyway, I don’t know if it’s a part in the strut assembly or something totally different. Any ideas i can ponder before I bring it back in and fork over more hard earned cash? Hearing that noise when turning the wheel to the left has me a little baffled.

 

Same here, some but not all of the noise after disassembly/lube of ball joints, retorque strut mounts, lube everywhere else possible. Still was missed somehow but a lot better than before.
