creaky clutch
I have a 2001 S60, non-turbo, 5speed manual. Just recently..when i roll down the window...when i release the clutch whether starting out in first gear, or switch gears down the road, i hear a creaking sound. This happens when releasing the clutch. Anybody have an idea what this could be?
It could be a couple of things. I haven't messed with many manual tranny cars.
I would try to track it down having someone push the pedal and you look under the hood.
Something might just need a little squirt of WD-40.

figured out what the creak was. Whenever u start off, less than perfectly, the front engine mount moves alot. Letting the engine lurch towards the cabin, its not excessive, but it does sound annoying.
