Hi i have an issue with the DIM in my car ( S60 2.4 auto ) it has started to intermittently stop working sometimes goes completely black or the needles stick etc etc ..

I have read about sending it off having it resoldered or whatever they do to it and i have also read somewere about replacing the part with a 2nd hand one ..

The option to replace is better as its the only car i own and need for work and cannot send away to be fixed but i have a local volvo specialist breaker just a few miles away who had quite a few S60s in his yard and has said im welcome to try as many as like till i find one that works then he will charge me £80 ...

This would be much easier for me to take old unit out and replace as i cannot take time off work .. So i would like to know basically if its possible to just replace with a working used DIM rather than waiting a week or more by sending to be fixed for double the price . Thanks .
